Sovereign Harbour opened in 1993, while Towner moved into its present gallery in 2009. Eastbourne continues to add new architecture to its older neighbourhoods. Record what works in your particular property before redesigning it: ceiling height, window positions, useful storage and the connection between kitchen and living space. If there are original features to retain, photograph them alongside the details you want to change. Check the relevant property information before settling an alteration.
Think beyond the new shower

The Wish Tower
Martello Tower 73 occupies the western part of Eastbourne’s seafront, a surviving reminder of the Napoleonic coastal defences.

Opened in 1993, the linked harbours give the eastern side of the town a distinct marina setting.
Towner Eastbourne
Rick Mather Architects designed the gallery in the Devonshire Quarter; it opened in April 2009 as a new home for the town’s art collection.
