Home improvements & building · Peacehaven
Peacehaven interiors, considered from the inside out.
Peacehaven began as a planned seaside development in the early twentieth century, and its clifftop setting remains central to its identity. When reworking a home here, look closely at how rooms connect, where daylight enters and what the household needs next. INTEGRAL welcomes Peacehaven enquiries from Brighton and Hove for kitchens, bathrooms, interiors and wider building work.
How can you make better use of the existing footprint?
The town council’s history describes how Peacehaven developed from individual building plots. That origin is a useful prompt to assess each property on its own terms. For a bungalow or house, map the relationship between kitchen, living space and garden before moving walls or adding space. Sometimes storage and door positions deserve attention first; sometimes the brief points towards a larger alteration or extension.
Make coastal light part of the brief
The clifftop promenade and Meridian Monument speak to Peacehaven’s open coastal setting, while Centenary Park brings a large shared green space inland. Inside your own home, test finish samples in the actual room at different times of day. A large tile or pale stone surface can look quite different beside a bright window. Consider glare, cleaning and the balance of warm and cool materials alongside appearance, without assuming every coastal property has the same conditions.
Resolve comfort before closing up
If a kitchen or bathroom project opens up access to services, it is a useful moment to discuss heating controls, hot water and ventilation. Explain what currently works poorly and which rooms are being changed. Possible heat pumps or air conditioning need an assessment of the property and equipment locations. Check property-specific requirements with the relevant authority before settling any changes that affect the building.
Need help sourcing materials?

Before we begin
Planning work in Peacehaven?
Every project starts with a conversation.
Can INTEGRAL discuss changes to a Peacehaven bungalow?
Yes. Share the current layout and what you want the rooms to do differently. We can discuss interiors and potential building work around the specific property.
Is a coastal location enough to choose an air-conditioning system?
No. Room orientation, glazing, use and available equipment positions all matter. Begin with the actual comfort issue and a property assessment before discussing a suitable scope.
