Hassocks railway station
The station opened as Hassocks Gate in 1841, beginning the railway-led growth of the village and its early commuter housing.
Oldland Windmill, Keymer
In neighbouring Keymer, outside Hassocks village centre, this post mill appears on an estate map from around 1703 and survives through volunteer restoration.
St John the Baptist, Clayton
In nearby Clayton, outside Hassocks village centre, the church has a largely pre-Conquest nave with wall paintings dating from around 1150.
